English as a Second Language
ESL classes are offered during the morning, afternoon and evening at various locations throughout Palo Alto. There are no residency requirements and no fees. You must register in person by attending one of our testing sessions. Lytton Gardens residents may register at the class held there.
All classes teach listening, speaking, reading and writing with a focus on learning to communicate better at work and in the community. Seven levels are offered, although not every level is offered at every location. Students with no English skills and/or low literacy are recommended to attend mornings at Cubbereley or evenings at Palo Alto High School.
