Beginning Drawing Materials List
- Pencils:
- 2B, 4B, 8 or 9B *
- Vine Charcoal-soft*
- Charcoal pencil soft (the sort that peels away from the charcoal is okay)*
- Charcoal sticks soft (thick--about 1/2" in diameter)*
- Paper:
- Newsprint pad for exercises (large size is best)*
- Drawing pad for finished work (large)
- Charcoal pad for charcoal drawings (may purchase later)
- Other items:
- kneaded eraser*
- chamois (rubbing cloth)
- pencil sharpener, sand paper for charcoal sharpening
- blending sticks
- drawing board with clamps for loose paper (optional)
- latex gloves for keeping clean (optional)
*Please bring starred items to first class
