Miles Smith, a former graphic designer and art director for 15 years, has been teaching desktop publishing, including digital imaging and photography, at the post-secondary level since 1995.

In this class for both PC and Mac computer users, we will use several web browsers-Firefox, Safari, Opera, Chrome and Internet Explorer. You will be able to find information about health, entertainment, shopping, and travel. You will also learn how to stay safe and secure (prevent identity theft) when using the Internet. This class is for students using either a PC or a Mac and will be taught in the PC Lab.

You will learn more advanced features of OS X including System Preferences, an overview of iPhoto, iTunes, iMovie and iDVD; Apple's .Mac ("dot-mac") services; iCal; Address Book; and basic Internet using Apple's Safari browser, Mail and iChatAV.
