WOMEN AND INVESTMENT
Instructor: Hilary Lyon Jones < hilary_jones@ml.com >
Research suggests that women ought to take investing more seriously than men, as they face greater financial risk. At some point in their lives 90% of women will be solely responsible for their finances, and yet often women do not think about finances until they are faced with a dramatic, life-changing event. The number one reason many women postpone making financial decisions is fear of making a mistake. You will gain essential information about the tools and strategies of investing and the importance of integrating your personal goals and professional advice into a synergistic financial plan. In an informal atmosphere where no question is too simple, through lecture, class discussions, an optional companion guide, A Woman's Guide to Investing ($9), and workbooks, participants will take action so they can take charge of their financial destiny.
