Chakras, when balanced, increase the flow of energy and vitality in the body. Each class will begin with a meditation and visualization technique, then we will focus on one chakra each week using music and movement to release stress, open our chakras and feel our aliveness and power. Gently stretch your body with yoga poses that cultivate balance, inner awareness and mobility; and release muscle tension in the lower back, neck and shoulders. Yoga mats preferred, but towels are acceptable. Instructor has a certificate from the Santa Cruz Institute of Yoga in Bombay, India. No class on April 8, April 15 and May 13.

Ms. Cosgrove, a Pilates and Feldenkrais Practitioner, leads you in a series of exercises that gently and effectively strengthen the "core" muscles of the abdomen and back while increasing mobility. Exercises are done on a floor mat. Please bring a foam or camping-style mat and/or a folded blanket. No class on April 13.
