Whether your business processes involve patients, flowers or airplanes, there is waste! Lean is the identification and elimination of that waste. This course will provide you with the Lean tools to increase your business productivity, capacity and profits. This course will prepare you to take the SME (Society of Manufacturing Engineers) Lean Bronze Certification test. The instructor is Lean Bronze Certified by the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) as a continuous Improvement Specialist, is a Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt for United Airlines and has been a Palo Alto Adult School teacher for more than seven years.

Research suggests that women ought to take investing as seriously as men, as it is generally recognized that at some point in their lives 90% of women will be solely responsible for their finances. Yet often women do not think about finances until they are faced with a dramatic, life-changing event. Many women postpone making financial decisions for fear of making a mistake. Through lecture, discussions and an optional companion guide (A Women's Guide to Investing $15), this course will provide essential information about the vocabulary, tools and strategies of investing, as well as the benefits of integrating professional advice into a synergistic financial plan, so participants can take charge of their financial destiny and enjoy the journey.
